    GREAT, VERY UNUSUAL, Early Vintage 1930-40 Wood-Handled Railroad Advertising Fan, CHICAGO NORTHWESTERN RAILWAY
    DESCRIPTION:
    Extremely unusual, great, original vintage wood-handled RAILROAD ADVERTISING FAN. Scans show it all. On the front is the "CHICAGO & NORTHWESTERN LINE" logo. On the back is a neat list of midwest and western locations for fishing and mountain climbing vacations, etc., with sample fares and destinations....Deadwood, the Black Hills, Yellowstone, Zion, California, etc..... A VERY UNUSUAL, VERY COOL (no pun intended) ITEM, especially nice and functional before the days of air conditioning. You can picture someone sitting on the porch, in a waiting room, or even on the train using this!!!
    Very large, with the "blade" of the fan measuring 7 1/4" x 9 1/4". Made of thick paperboard. Attached to the bottom of this is an 11" long stick, as shown, for a handle. Fan is 15" long overall from top to bottom.
    QUITE AN EFFECTIVE FAN AND VERY COOLING!! And a very unusual item for any vintage/antique collection of railroad items or specific collections of National Parks, etc. Plus, obviously, for any advertising item collection. A nice functional advertising item!!
